As you probably know already, no backyard is complete without an awesome tree-house for kids to hang out in and experience the outdoors. Similar to the swing activity mentioned above, this one requires some skilled handiwork, to ensure the safety of anyone who uses it. Check out this awesome video on how you can build your own simple tree swing to have your kids swinging like Tarzan in no time: Obviously this activity requires close parental supervision, and is more geared toward kids who are already 12 or 13 years old. Then, inside the area, place or dump gravel (which you can buy at your local shop) inside the area between the rocks. Simple take an area (ideally 5×5 feet in width and length, and cordon it off with rocks and stones. Did you know that you can create your own sandbox playground? And if you’re worried about little feet tracking sand into your home, have no fear! We can also use gravel. The best thing about backyards is that they are loads of fun but also very unique – some backyards have ponds and rivers flowing through them, others have trees that are 100+ years old!
